Patrick Mahomes continues to pad his cushion over the rest of the pack chasing for the 2022 MVP award. The Chiefs have looked like one of the best, if not the best, team in the league for the last few months and Mahomes is the reason why. The Eagles remain the top team in the NFC after their offensive explosion against the Packers on Sunday Night, and Tua Tagovailoa has been making a charge up the favorites list since his return from injury.

This is how the MVP odds look after Week 12:

Kansas City QB, Patrick Mahomes: -140, last week -160

The Chiefs had a cup cake game against a decimated LA Rams side with no Matthew Stafford and no Cooper Kupp. It wasn’t the blowout that many expected in Aarowhead but the Chiefs won with ease as Mahomes posted another 300 yard game going 27/42 on the day with a touchdown and an interception. The KC QB leads the league in passing yards, touchdowns and is fourth in QB rating through Week 12 and doesn’t show signs of slowing down. The Chiefs are on top of the AFC and as long as they remain frontrunners in the conference you’d have to think Mahomes will be the front runner to win the NFL’s Most Valuable Player award.

Philadelphia Eagles QB, Jalen Hurts +350, last week +600

The Eagles lit up the scoreboard at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday Night against the Green Bay Packers. It was Jalen Hurts doing it on the ground and through under the primetime light in Philly on a night in which the Eagles put up 363 yard rushing. Hurts had 153 yards in the air with two touchdowns and added another 157 yards on the ground against the Packers defense. His TD to INT ratio is the second best in the league, and his 8 rushing TDs has him up there with the top running backs in the league.

Stats: COMP%: 67.3% YDS: 2,560 TD: 17 INT: 3 RYDS: 597 RTD: 8

Miami Dolphins QB, Tua Tagovailoa QB: +600, last week +650

Tua still hasn’t lost a game that he has started and finished this season. If it wasn’t for his concussion scares earlier this season who knows where he would sit on this list, but even with the couple games he missed he sits third in the race for the MVP through 12 weeks. Their game against the Texans should have been, and was a breeze over the weekend. With a big game against the Niners this Sunday the Dolphins wanted to have the game in the bag early, and that did so by the tune of a 30-0 halftime lead. Tua threw for 299 yards and a TD, most of that coming in the first half of the blowout victory over Houston.

Stats: COMP%: 69.7% YDS: 2,564 TD: 19 INT: 3 RYDS: 35 RTD: 0

Buffalo Bills QB, Josh Allen: +1100, last week +650

Josh Allen’s chances of winning the NFL MVP have plummeted over the last month. The two losses that fell largely on his shoulders didn’t help his case, and it seems like the Thanksgiving win against the Lions didn’t do him any favors either. He may have thrown for 253 yards and two TDs with an INT, along with 78 yards and a TD on the ground but his odds spiraled after last week’s game. His 11 interceptions are tied for the most in the league with Texans QB Davis Mills, but he still has the second most passing yards, and is tied for the second most passing TDs in the league.

Stats: COMP%: 63.9% YDS: 3,183 TD: 23 INT: 11 RYDS: 561 RTD: 5

Cincinnati Bengals QB, Joe Burrow: +1700, last week +2600

It wasn’t a pretty win against the Titans on Sunday, but when you play Mike Vrable’s team it rarely turns out that way. Burrow and the Bengals went into a hostile environment against a top AFC team and took care of buisness. Burrow didn’t dazzle, but he didn’t make any mistakes, and managed the Bengals in a perfect manner. His 270 yards and one TD was a far cry from his 355 yard, 4 TD performance against the Browns the week before but the Bengals continue to get better, and that’s with Ja’Maar Chase sidelined. The Bengals QB 1 is third in the league in yards, tied for second in TDs. Burrow told reporters after the game that the win against the Titans was a game that great teams win, and I say that’s a game that a great quarterback wins for his team.
