The 2022 NFL season is now well and truly underway and with that we’re taking a look at Sunday’s schedule because there’s a full slate of games and they’re definitely going to be interesting. Let’s dive in!

NFL’s Week 7 started with Thursday Night Football

This season’s Thursday Night Football encounters have been relatively low scoring to say the least. Which is what made the Saints and Cardinals’ showdown so entertaining. Indeed, the teams played out a thrilling 42-34 contest that ultimately ended in Arizona’s favor. It should be said, that the Cardinals weren’t particularly exceptional on offense, but they did manage to register two interceptions in the space of just over a minute courtesy of Saints QB Andy Dalton’s errors. Even more impressive, is the fact that both of those INTs ended with a return for a touchdown.

Credit should be given to Dalton for inspiring a late comeback effort, but it was a case of a too little too late for the signal caller and his team. Mention should be made of DeAndre Hopkins, who returned from a six-game suspension for the Cardinals and proceeded to register 10 catches for 103 yards in his first game of the season. With that, the Cardinals now sit on a record of 3-4, while the Saints have now slumped to 2-5.
