The Raiders and their starting quarterback, Derek Carr, have agreed to a $121.5 million contract extension that will keep the signal caller around until 2025.

The three-year extension contract, which also includes a no-trade clause, means that the 31-year-old could earn upwards of $40 million, which would push him up the list of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league.

Carr led Las Vegas to the playoffs in 2021 with a 10-7 record, and finished the season with the most passing yards of his career, 4,804, averaging 282.6 passing yards per game.

This move isn’t exactly a surprise given that the Raiders brought in Carr’s former teammate Davante Adams, and spent big money on him. Now Carr can continue on the success the Raiders built at the end of last season, with a Top 5 receiver to throw to, and a head coach that has formed a high-profile roster for the signal caller and Las Vegas.
