According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, Bernardo Silva has chosen Barcelona as his next destination after announcing his departure from Manchester City, where his contract had come to an end. The report adds that the midfielder has instructed his agent, Jorge Mendes, to negotiate the terms of a deal with the Catalan club, with talks said to be progressing positively.

Barça’s Silva lining

The move would bring an end to a remarkable spell in England. Silva, who turns 32 on Aug. 10, has long viewed Barcelona as an attractive option.
