Rob Gronkowski has bad news for the Chiefs fans: ”If you punch these guys in the face... they’re going to fold."
The Kansas City Chiefs lost their season opener, and former NFL star tight end Rob Gronkowski warns that their weaknesses have been exposed.
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs created a dynasty in the last six years, making it to five Super Bowls and winning three. But last season, when they were hoping to make history with a three-peat, they were instead subjected to a brutal beating by the Philadelphia Eagles.
And after a season-opening loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil to start the 2025 season, one former NFL star says the Chiefs are done for - the dynasty is already crumbling.
Gronkoswki’s hot take on the Chiefs: Eagles “opened the floodgates”
The Kansas City Chiefs opened the 2025 season with a 27-21 loss to the Chargers in Brazil, a game that also saw rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy get injured. Concerns quickly followed, with Rob Gronkowski blasting the Chiefs on the “Up & Adams” show with Kay Adams, saying, “If you punch these guys in the face… they’re going to fold.”
He pointed out that the Chiefs haven’t been handling things well amongst the team whenever things start to go downhill.
“When things aren’t going their way...when they start struggling a little bit, they start yelling at each other,” said Gronk. “The blame game starts going on, you can see it on the sidelines. And that’s not a good situation. You want to come together when you’re down...to figure out why.”
“To see them start to point fingers is not a good sign,” Gronk said.
Gronk’s comments fueled doubts about Kansas City’s toughness, but they’ve been known to silence doubters a few times before, and it’s only one game. The Chiefs now face a big Week 2 Super Bowl rematch with the Eagles, giving them a chance to quiet the early-season skepticism.
