Seahawks celebration plans and schedule: Super Bowl parade complete route and trophy ceremony

If there is one thing Seattle knows how to do after a championship, it is show up in force. With the Seattle Seahawks crowned Super Bowl LX champions, the next big question is no longer about football. It is about timing, streets, and where fans will gather to celebrate.

Cities almost never announce parade plans before a title is secured, even when early planning is already happening behind the scenes. Often, it’s radio silence for hours, or even days. But we got the details on the night of their Super Bowl LX victory.

What happened last time Seattle won the Super Bowl

When Seattle won Super Bowl XLVIII, our best current hint to the plans, the celebration arrived quickly. A parade wound through downtown before ending with a massive rally at what is now Lumen Field. Hundreds of thousands of fans packed sidewalks and public transit, turning the city into a sea of blue and green.

Then-head coach Pete Carroll waved to crowds from an open vehicle as the city effectively shut down for the day.

How are parade decisions made?

Championship parades require coordination between the team, the mayor’s office, police, transit agencies, and emergency services. Crowd estimates, security needs, weekday scheduling, and weather all factor into the final call.

What we know and what comes next

No sooner had the celebrations begun on the field, and Council member Rob Saka posted to X:

“Super Bowl Parade will be this Wednesday from Stadium District to Seattle Center! ”

Seattle has hosted a Seahawks Super Bowl parade before, and the city has a clear blueprint. If history is any guide, this is going to be big.

The bad news is for school-aged fans, who won’t be allowed to celebrate with the team. “As the city plans celebrations, including a victory parade planned for Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 10 a.m., we want families to know that Seattle Public Schools will remain open with the normal early-release Wednesday schedule,” read the statement.

Families have also been warned that “attendance policies will remain in effect, and parade attendance will not be considered an excused absence.”

The statement does finish with “Go Hawks!” although Seattle Public Schools have, unsurprisingly, been labeled proper party poopers by many locals.

What is the Seahawks’ Super Bowl parade route in Seattle?

The parade will begin with a trophy ceremony at Lumen Field at 10 a.m. PT, 1 p.m. ET. That will be followed by a procession along Fourth Avenue, starting at 11 a.m. PT, 2 p.m. ET.
