Seahawks vs 49ers NFL Wild Card Weekend odds and predictions: Who is the favorite?
The Seattle Seahawks head to San Francisco to face the 49ers in the opening game of the NFL Super Wild Card Weekend. Which team is favored to win?
The NFC matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers will kick off the NFL Super Wild Card Weekend. The game will start at 4:30 p.m. ET / 1:30 PT on Saturday, Jan. 14 at Levi’s Stadium.
Brock rocks
Both teams are starting with unlikely quarterbacks- rookie Brock Purdy and former third stringer Geno Smith. Purdy has more than competently filled in the shoes of Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo, and since he took the lead in Week 13, the 49ers have become first in pass offense. The 23-year-old recorded 110-of-161 pass completions, for a total of 1,308 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Smith Surprises
Smith was a revelation in his first season as the starting quarterback, leading the NFL with a 69.8% completion rate. His performance was boosted by working with one of the best receiving duos in the league in DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
But though Smith and the Seattle had an intense offensive start, they seemed to have lost their momentum as the regular season drew to a close.
The division rivals met twice in 2022, and San Francisco won both times, limiting the Seahawks to two of their lowest scoring outputs for the season.
