Some will be scratching their heads given the severity of the act, given that it hasn’t been reflected in the punishment.

When the Buffalo Bills take on the Miami Dolphins in their week 3 contest, they will do so without offensive lineman after he was suspended by the league for his part in an altercation following his team’s win on Monday night

NFL suspends Bills’ Bobby Hart for one game

According to reports, Bills OL Bobby Hart has been suspended by the NFL for one game. The decision, stems from Hart’s involvement in an altercation with members of the Tennessee Titans following his team’s heavy 41-7 win on Monday night. Indeed, Hart attempted to punch an opposing player, but instead hit a Titans coach. NFL Vice President of Football Operations Jon Runyan, communicated with Hart directly in a letter.

“As both teams were heading to the tunnel, you walked directly across the field to seek out your opponent. You approached him near the end zone and a coach had to hold you back as others shook hands. Once you and your opponent were in the end zone near the tunnel, you confronted him and immediately swung at him with a closed fist, striking the head of a Tennessee coach. Your aggressive conduct could have caused serious injury and clearly does not reflect the high standards of sportsmanship expected of a professional.”

Who is Bobby Hart?

A seventh-round Draft pick out of Florida State back in 2015, Hart has previously played for the New York Giants, Cincinnati Bengals and believe it or not, the Titans for whom he featured in three games. The reserve offensive lineman saw some 17 offensive snaps for the Bills on Monday night. According to the NFL’s Collective Bargaining Agreement, Hart can in fact appeal, however, given the clear nature of the situation, it’s not likely that the decision will be overturned.
