Musk and Cuban - cheap or money savvy
Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur and CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, and Mark Cuban, the billionaire investor and ex-owner of the Dallas Mavericks, may not be the best of friends, but they do share a common ground when it comes to Super Bowl Sunday - they both believe that betting on the game is not a wise financial decision.

49ers counting down to Sunday
Posted late Wednesday night, the 49ers social media manager is clearly getting excited ahead of Sunday's Super Bowl final.
Kelce thinking about Super Bowl bling not engagement rings
Travis Kelce admits he has been thinking about a ring, the Super Bowl variety he hopes to win on Sunday when his Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers and not the engagement one for girlfriend Taylor Swift that has social media buzzing. Speculation Kelce might get down on one knee at centre field after the Super Bowl and pop the question to his pop superstar girlfriend has had Swift's army of fans known as 'Swifties' in a tither and hardcore football fans scratching their heads.
Mahomes says Taylor Swift is good for football
The Chiefs QB opened up on Kelce's girlfriend, Taylor Swift, who has had quite the impact on the popularity of the sport for people who would previously be called neutrals.
With an expected national audience of more than 200 million, Super Bowl LVIII is going to be a big deal, to say the least.
Yet, all of those folks will be watching from the comfort of their homes or at most their favorite sports bar/restaurant. So, what about those who will be going to the game itself, which has an average ticket price of $9,850 according to TickPick?
Going a step further, what about the ones who can afford a luxury suite at Allegiant Stadium? How much are they paying and what do they get for their money?
R&B artist Usher will take to the main stage to provide a musical interlude in Sunday’s Super Bowl. He’s one of several singers to appear more than once.
One of the defining features of the Super Bowl, which sets it apart from the other major sports finals, is the halftime show. The 15-minute musical interlude is one of the biggest attractions of the event, featuring the stars of the day. During the early years, and for most of the first decade, a college marching band provided musical entertainment at the interval.
Later, Up with People (UWP) got involved. Guests were usually from the jazz world - Ella Fitzgerald, Doc Severinson, Lionel Hampton and Anita Bryant were among the more well known entertainers invited to perform during the 1970s.
There is a serious amount of money going around from fans ahead of the Super Bowl: here's a look at just how much.
According to figures released by the American Gaming Association (AGA), 67.8 million Americans are expected to place a bet on Sunday’s game between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs, 35 percent more people than in 2023.
In the report released midweek, it is estimated that $23.1 billion is at stake, surpassing the $16 billion that was bet on last year’s Super Bowl LVII, which the Chiefs won against the Philadelphia Eagles.
"I always wanted to be at the mountaintop with my brother" -Travis Kelce
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce opens up on his close relationship with brother and fellow NFL player Jason Kelce, saying “his support is all I need”.
Which of these players will have the biggest impact?
Will the 49ers be able to win their first Super Bowl of the 21st Century?
"My first love about football was the physical part of the game" -Jauan Jennings
The 49ers wide receiver has played many different positions in football, but no matter which one he’s in, he isn’t afraid of a little tackle.
Travis Kelce’s mom, Donna, has dropped a hint on whether or not she’s going to be sharing a premium view with Taylor Swift for Sunday’s Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers.
Mother of both Travis and Jason, Donna was unsure of whether or not she had a seat guaranteed in the pricey seats of the premium areas at Allegiant Stadium, saying that “you can understand that the boxes in Vegas are multi-million dollars,” Donna, until now, has sat with Travis’ girlfriend Taylor Swift at his previous games.
“So I have a feeling I’m not in a box”, she continued, “I have a feeling I’m in the stands. As far as I know I’m in the stands with everybody else because it is a pricey Super Bowl”.
The idea that fans want the look of the Chiefs’ star tight endshouldn’t come as a surprise given what’s at stake. Yet, on the other hand, it’s the beginning of the end as fans look to secure their piece of history.
Even Travis Kelce's haircut, a seemingly simple short back and sides, is being copied.
I wonder if what impact Brian May could have with the youth if he released a song with Taylor Swift.
Vegas' new play thing is lighting up for the Super Bowl
What would you do with a huge, spherical screen ahead of the Super Bowl? Well, whatever you want, really. Here's the latest design on the outside of what must surely be one of most iconic buildings erected this century. Good thing I'm not allowed the remote control for the screen, or there'd be some angry locals.

Mahomes' deal was once the biggest-ever in the history of the NFL, and the third largest in the world of sports.
The QB only trailed behind top earner LionelMessi, whom soccer club F.C. Barcelona once signed to a 4-year, $674 million agreement, and Cristiano Ronaldo, whom the Al-Nassr soccer team locked in for 2.5 years for $536 million.
However, all the aforementioned names were blown out of the water when Shohei Ohtani signed a $700,000,000 deal with MLB side Los Angeles Dodgers.
See the full run-down of Mahomes' mega, mammoth, massive contract deal that he signed.

But just how much food is eaten across the country? (Hint: A LOT!)
Are you one for conspiracy theories?
Are the UK Royals all lizards? Is Area 51 a secret alien base or just a marshmallow factory? Did Armstrong really land on the moon? (Yes, he did)
Well, here's a Super Bowl-themed one: Andy Reid gives his thoughts on Republican’s Taylor Swift conspiracy theories.
Any excuse really to post footage of Reid's fantastic facial hair.
The NFL has announced that the referee for the 2024 Super Bowl will be Bill Vinovich, who has 18 years of experience in the league and has worked two previous Super Bowls, in 2014 and 2019.
On Sunday the Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers in Super LVIII, the 58th edition of the NFL championship game.
The Chiefs are looking for their third title in five seasons under the guidance of quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who could be on track to equal Tom Brady’s record haul of seven rings.
Kansas City could become the latest team to forge an NFL dynasty, following in the footsteps of the Green Bay Packers, the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
But away from the rarefied air of these Super Bowl stalwarts, countless teams are yet to taste victory in the six-decade history of the NFL.
There are 12 teams in the NFL who are yet to win a Super Bowl.
Samuel has been one of the most productive offensive weapons in the league, with a good number of receiving yards with 892. He also rushed for 225 yards and seven touchdowns, showcasing his versatility and explosiveness.

49ers' incredible comeback against the Lions
Things were rather more dramatic over on the NFC side of things. It looked for all the world as if the Lions were going to make it to their first Super Bowl EVER after racing into a 24-7 lead at half-time. The classic game of two halves - as they'd say in soccer - saw the 49ers outscore their opponents 27-7 in the third and fourth quarters to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
Fast start secures AFC Championship for Chiefs against Ravens
A little reminder of how the Chiefs defeated the Ravensto win the NFC Championship and make it to their fourth Super Bowl in five years. Despite not scoring a single point in the second half. It was all down to that fast start.

Which NFL teams have won the most Super Bowls?
One way or another, the top of this leaderboard is going to change come Sunday. The 49ers can join the Steelers and the Patriots on six championships, which, given how long it's been since they won, shows you the kind of success they used to enjoy in the Super Bowl.
49ers out to end long wait for Super Bowl
While the Chiefs have had plenty of recent success, the same can’t be said for the 49ers. Only two NFL teams (the Patriots and the Steelers, six) have won more Super Bowls than the San Francisco 49ers (five). Their last one, however, came all the way back in January 1995, almost five years before Brock Purdy was born. Ooft.
Surely they must be due a win, especially after losing their last two?
It’s possibly not quite as rare as you might think (or maybe it's just me?), although it’s still an incredible achievement for those that manage it. Seven teams have already done it, so you maths experts will be able to tell me the Chiefs will become the eighth to win consecutive Super Bowls if they come out on top at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sunday.
Kansas City Chiefs hoping to strengthen NFL dynasty
They’ve reached four Super Bowls in five years and won two of the last four, including last year against the Eagles. Another championship would surely conform we are living in the age of Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Co, right?
