Super Bowl Suites: The lowdown
This Sunday, January 11th, the Kansas City Chiefs will try to win a second consecutive Super Bowl when they take on the San Francisco 49ers. With an expected national audience of more than 200 million, it’s going to be a big deal, to say the least. Yet, all of those folks will be watching from the comfort of their homes or at most their favorite sports bar/restaurant. So, what about those who will be going to the game itself, which has an average ticket price of $9,850 according to TickPick? Going a step further, what about the ones who can afford a luxury suite at Allegiant Stadium? How much are they paying and what do they get for their money?
For starters, the $2.5 million price tag won’t guarantee you a meet and greet with Taylor Swift. Yes, $2.5 million. What it will do on the other hand, is give you access to what the NFL is calling “the ultimate surf and turf”, an apparent reference to the steakhouses and salads that Las Vegas is well known for. Indeed, in one post on TikTok, sports journalist Luke Sawhook showcased some of the things on offer, including classic souvenir popcorn as you walk in the door, bacon-wrapped hot dogs, BBQ burnt-end burritos, glazed donut sundaes, loaded carne asada fries, seafood stuffed baked potatoes, surf and turf nachos, wagyu beef hot dogs, frozen cheesecake, and as you probably guessed a full-service bar.

Hard to believe, but true. According to the Allegiant Stadium website, premium suites offer “top-notch perks for the upscale game day experience.” What that means is benefits such as in-suite food and beverage options, VIP parking passes, VIP entrances, private amenities, an in-suite restroom, and access to 200 Level Clubs. Ultimately, it’s fair to say there is a whole ton on offer for the monumental price tag. Is it worth it? Who’s to say, other than those who can afford to even have such a debate? At any rate, at least it’s all you can eat.
