Super Bowl not part of Lamar Jackson’s thoughts for the season
The Baltimore Ravens quarterback said it's not time to think about a championship, but rather to focus on the Buffalo Bills.

The Baltimore Ravens are widely considered contenders for Super Bowl LX, but their star player believes it’s too early to look that far ahead. As the AFC North team opened training camp in Owings Mills, Maryland, quarterback Lamar Jackson made it clear he’s focused on the present.
“To be honest, I’m not thinking that far ahead,” Jackson said at a press conference. “Every time we talk about it, we make the playoffs, but we don’t achieve our goal. So I’m just trying to finish camp the right way and be ready for the Bills. I’m not thinking about the Super Bowl yet.”
Despite the caution, the two-time NFL MVP emphasized he’s still in the early stages of his career: “I’m only 28 years old. I’m just getting started.”

Through 103 NFL games, the Louisville product has thrown for 20,059 yards with 166 touchdowns and 49 interceptions, while also rushing for 6,173 yards and 33 touchdowns.
Since Jackson became the Ravens’ starting quarterback in 2019, the team has reached the playoffs in five of six seasons. They’ve been eliminated in the Wild Card round once, reached the Divisional Round three times, and fell short in the 2023 AFC Championship Game.
That loss came at home against the Kansas City Chiefs, who defeated the Ravens 17–10 at M&T Bank Stadium. Jackson struggled under pressure, getting sacked four times, fumbling once, and throwing an interception. Early in the fourth quarter, a costly fumble by rookie receiver Zay Flowers at the goal line sealed Baltimore’s fate.
