The Cowboys head into Thanksgiving as favorites over Giants

The Dallas Cowboys haven’t been favored to win a game in quite some time, but a win over the Commanders and a faltering Giants team have changed that.

The Dallas Cowboys are heading into their Thanksgiving Day game against the New York Giants fresh off their first win in over a month. On Sunday, they snapped a five-game losing streak with a 34-26 win over the Washington Commanders.

Cowboys favored to beat Giants on Thanksiving

The Cowboys are not having a great season. Actually, that’s an understatement. They’re having one of their worst seasons in the last 10 years. They are at 4-7 after Sunday’s win and in third place in the division with their postseason hopes all but dashed.

That being said, the Cowboys have been the underdog in most of their games this season, especially recently. Heading into their Week 12 Thanksgiving game against the Giants, however, they’re finally the favorites to win.

The Cowboys' win over the 7-5 Commanders was one of the most surprising and crazy games we’ve seen in a long time, but it put Dallas back in the win column, despite being roughly 10.5-point underdogs.

The Giants are having yet another disastrous season at 2-9 and are in last place in the NFC East. They’ve just released quarterback Daniel Jones and started Tommy DeVito in their 30-7 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. After the game, several players called the effort “soft” and questioned the game plan.

A Dallas win plus the matchup against a faltering team leaves the Cowboys as 3.5-point favorites over the Giants in the FanDuel odds. Although they are the home team, that actually isn’t necessarily an advantage for Dallas, who has not won a home game since last regular season. They’ll be looking to zap that five-game home losing streak this Thursday.

The Cowboys beat the Giants 20-15 on the road back in Week 4, one of their few victories this season.
