Update:

Although it feels like yesterday, the previous Super Bowl, won in dramatic fashion by the Philadelphia Eagles, was a long time ago (as was Kendrick’s cheeky smile and wave to Drake). So much so that we’re now in the realm of ‘next’ season, and preseason preparations are well underway.

On that note, the television studios have been organising which fixtures of the preseason to put on national broadcast, and now they’ve come to a decision. While there are plenty of other games that will no doubt be broadcast locally, this year, a total of 5 games will be broadcast for free throughout the country.

NBC will be the channel to get preseason coverage underway for the 2025 season, as they are set to host the Hall of Fame Game. This fixture will see the Los Angeles Chargers take on the Detroit Lions in Canton, Ohio, at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, July 31.

Week Two of the preseason will feature two nationally televised matchups: On Sunday, August 17, the Bills will travel to Chicago to take on the Bears at 8 p.m. ET on Fox. The following night, Monday, August 18, the Bengals will visit Washington to face the Commanders at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Week Three also includes two nationally televised games: The Patriots will visit the Giants on Thursday, August 21 at 8 p.m. ET on Prime Video, while the Vikings will head to Tennessee to face the Titans on Friday, August 22 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
