Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Tom Brady is the holder of numerous records for quarterbacks in the history of the NFL, and at the moment he is very close to achieving something that seems unattainable for any other player in the league.

Heading into the week, the 45-year-old QB has accumulated 99,836 yards in the regular season and the postseason. He only needs 164 more to reach 100,000, and he could very well get it in Week 9′s game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Despite having a career spanning 23 seasons, Brady has only faced the Rams six times and his averages against the Los Angeles team are 27 completions, 273 yards and 1.8 TDs.

Far from the 100,000 mark

The three quarterbacks who follow Brady’s record from a distance are Drew Brees, Peyton Manning and Brett Favre. Brees, who played for the Chargers and the Saints, is the closest with a cumulative 85,724 yards. Manning, formerly of the Colts and the Broncos, ranks third with 79,279. Fourth place belongs to Favre with 77,693.
