Tony Rizzo, NFL analyst, doesn’t hold back on Kevin Stefanski: “I hope that the Browns’ coaches sealed their fate”
Sunday’s home defeat to the San Francisco 49ers could be the final nail in the coffin for Stefanski and Andrew Berry.
The heat is on Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski following Sunday’s 26-8 home defeat to the San Francisco 49ers.
With one win in five, and just three all season, Cleveland are now destined for a losing season for the second consecutive year.
Browns insider Tony Rizzo is sure that it’s the end of the road for Stefanski, who will be fired at the end of the season.
Another losing season for the Browns
"I hope that the Browns coaches sealed their fate yesterday,” Rizzo said on ESPN Cleveland. “It’s 10-8! 10-8 in the third quarter, 4th and 1, your own 33! You are going to go for it and have your tight end fumble! Get out of here! Folks, folks, I’m going to tell you something right now: I know owners of sports teams that would have fired these people on the spot yesterday. Enough, enough of this! You’ve gotta be out of your mind to watch this garbage, the Browns are garbage.”
Stefanski‘s record with the Browns since signing a contract extension
Stefanski joined the Browns in January 2020 on a five-year deal, He and General Manager Andrew Berry were handed contract extensions in June 2024 when the team still had a decent winning percentage (37-30: .552). Since then the Browns have gone from bad to worse with just three wins in the 2024 regular season, and three wins this season with five games to go.
“How in the hell does Stefanski have a job?” Rizzo concluded. “Last two seasons, he’s 6-23. Oh my God. 23 Mondays that I have to come in here and kiss ass. I’m done with everybody. Get out, everybody. I wish we could fire the owner.”
