Travis Kelce’s bold statement about his role in Super Bowl LIX

You either love him or you hate him. And Travis Kelce doesn’t mind it either way.

The Kansas City Chiefs are back in the Super Bowl for the third straight year and fifth time in the last six years. With success come strong sentiments for those who adore you and even more from those you despise you.

Travis Kelce embraces the love, but welcomes the hate. He is the loudest, most polarizing figure on the two-time defending champions which makes him the bulls eye for those who can’t stand the NFL’s newest dynasty.

Talking on he and his brother Jason’s podcast “New Heights” he gave a staunch warning to those who are ready to throw shade at him and his team, “I love it. I love it,” Kelce said of being a villain on the “New Heights” poscast. "At one point in time, it wasn’t that. … I was the ‘do you feel bad for ‘em guys.’ … I’m enjoying doing this with the guys together. The guys that we have in there because it just makes us even more of a family.

Chiefs flirting with three-peat

Kelce has been one of the main pieces to the championship puzzle for the Chiefs in their dominant run that has seen them win three Super Bowls and get to seven straight AFC Championships.

He is the all time leading leader in postseason receptions and is on the precipice of breaking Jerry Rice’s playoff record for receiving yards. Even if you don’t like him, or his team, or his pop super star girlfriend, you have to admit the guy is in a league of his own. Now he and the Chiefs have a chance to make history with a three-peat in two Sunday’s time from New Orleans.
