Bad Bunny will perform a single concert in the United States as part of his new tour Debí Tirar Más Fotos, and it will be on the biggest stage of all: the Super Bowl LX halftime show, taking place on February 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

In a recent interview, the Puerto Rican artist explained that the decision not to include the United States in his tour was motivated by concerns about the potential presence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents outside his concerts.

There were many reasons why I didn’t perform in the United States, and none of them had to do with hate; I’ve performed there many times. All the shows were a success—magnificent, even. I’ve loved connecting with Latinos living in the United States,” he said in an interview with ID.

Latinos and Puerto Ricans from the United States could also travel here [to Puerto Rico], or anywhere in the world. But there was the problem that, for example, the damn ICE could be outside. It’s something we discussed and that worried us a lot,” he added.

Following the announcement that Bad Bunny—whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio—will headline the next halftime show, many have questioned whether ICE will be present near the stadium.

Donald Trump’s former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, who currently serves as an advisor to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), told The Benny Show that ICE agents will indeed be at next year’s Super Bowl. He also criticized Bad Bunny’s selection for the halftime performance.

“There is no place where those in this country illegally can be provided sanctuary—not at the Super Bowl or anywhere else. We will find them, arrest them, detain them, and deport them. This is a very real situation under this administration, unlike what it used to be,” Lewandowski said.

“It’s shameful that they chose someone who seems to hate America so much to represent the country in the halftime show. We should be striving to be inclusive, not exclusive. There are so many great bands and artists who could play that show and bring people together, not tear them apart,” he added.

“If there are undocumented immigrants, I don’t care if it’s a Johnny Smith concert, Bad Bunny, or anyone else. We’re going to enforce the law everywhere. We’re going to keep Americans safe,” Lewandowski concluded.
