Trump’s reception at Steelers game met with mixed reactions
Former president Donald Trump was in attendance for the Pittsburgh Steelers vs New York Jets game on Sunday and not everyone was excited about that.
As controversial as ex-president Donald Trump is, it should come as no surprise that his presence at any sporting event would be met with some mixed reactions. And so it was when he attended the Pittsburgh Steelers game against the New York Jets at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday.
Donald Trump’s mixed reception at Steelers game
Trump was met with some cheerful “USA! USA!” chants, but also some boos plus some who told him to “get outta town”. Some fans even flipped him the bird.
As seen in this video, Trump is waving obliviously in his private suite to the crowd, some of whom seem genuinely excited to see him and others, well...not so much.
Even Trump himself posted a video to his Truth Social platform which clearly shows a fan flipping him off.
It’s not the first time something like this has happened. When Trump attended a college football game between Iowa and Iowa State in 2023, he was met with both cheers and boos. A pro-Trump X account was later criticized for seemingly removing the boos from the crowd in a video they posted.
Despite boos and middle fingers, Trump thanked the Steelers fans for their “great reception” to his visit.
