Tua Tagovailoa believes that snow is a matter of the mind

The weather conditions forecast for the game between the Dolphins and Bills are not something that fazes quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

The AFC East is yet to be decided, but a key matchup for that is the matchup between the Miami Dolphins ( 8-5) and the Buffalo Bills 10-3) in Week 15 of the 2022 NFL season at Highmark Stadium.

At 8:15 p.m. EST on Saturday, temperatures are forecast to be below 20 degrees Fahrenheit and there is a chance that snow will engulf the Bills Stadium. However, weather conditions are not they're something that upsets Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Speaking to NFL.com, Tagovailoa said, “Could be snowing, could rain, I don’t know. It’s a mindset thing, really, and if I’m too focused and worried about ‘Is it too cold? Can I grab the ball or not?’ Then I’m focused on the wrong things and it’ll be hard to play that way.”

Tagovailoa is used to balmier weather as a native of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, but is certain that the snow won’t be an issue, noting that during his first year in Alabama, it also snowed. “It snowed in Alabama my freshman year, so it snows in Alabama. People don’t know that,” the quarterback said.

For the sweep

The Dolphins will wrap up their three-game road trip when they face the Bills at Highmark Stadium on Saturday. Historically, Miami leads the series with 63 wins to Buffalo’s 54, with one match ending in a tie, between the regular season and the playoffs.

If the Dolphins manage to beat the Bills this Saturday, it would be the first time since 2016 that Miami takes both games in their annual clash. Buffalo hasn’t been swept by any division rival since the New England Patriots did it back in 2019, under the guiding hand of one Thomas Edward Patrick Brady, Jr.
