What agreement have Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen reached to save their marriage?
Tampa Bay Buccaneers star quarterback Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bundchen have been making headlines recently because of the state of their marriage.
Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen have officially filed for divorce, as of Friday 28 October 2022. The pair filed similar messages on Instagram saying that “co-parenting” would be their priority. In total the couple were married for 13 years; they have two children together, Benjamin (12) and Vivian (9). They also parent Brady’s first child Jack (15), who he had with former girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.
In breaking the news to his followers, Brady said that the couple “arrived at this decision [to divorce] amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together.” Brady said the priority for the couple is their children and that they plan to “work together as parents” to “ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve.”
Bundchen and Brady tried to save their marriage
Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen make up a power couple whose marriage is the object of much scrutiny, and it has been particularly so in the last few weeks because of reported marital problems caused by the quarterback’s un-retirement.
Brady decided to go back to playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after announcing that he was hanging up his cleats, and this was cited as a reason for Bundchen to pack up and fly to Costa Rica, leaving the 45-year-old athlete with their children.
Gisele Bundchen: It’s my turn
The model said in an interview with Elle magazine that she wanted Brady to be “more present” with their offspring and spend less time on sports. She also said that she has done a lot for the family, and that it was time to focus on her own projects.
“I’ve done my part… I moved to Boston and I focused on creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in and to be there supporting him and his dreams… At 42, I feel more connected with my purpose, and now it’s going to be my turn,” Bundchen told Elle.
The Brazilian is the highest-paid model in the world, and she has prioritized raising the family over her career for the past few years.
Tom Brady to take weekly personal day
Now it seems that the couple have decided to not throw in the towel and instead work on salvaging their 13-year-long marriage. According to reports, the seven-time Super Bowl champion will be taking a rest day every Wednesday, considered a personal day that veterans are entitled to.
This new development could be the compromise that could ease tensions between the two, as it gives Brady more time to spend with his family, and also to talk things through and iron things out with Bundchen.
