Update:

As the 2025–26 NFL postseason begins to come into focus with three weeks left on the schedule, several teams have already punched their tickets and are nurturing real hopes of reaching Super Bowl LX. The game will be played at Levi’s Stadium – home of the San Francisco 49ers – on Sunday, February 8, 2026.

This is how the NFC playoff standings would look if the season ended today.

After Week 15, the divisional leaders are:

  1. Los Angeles Rams (11-3) | NFC West
  2. Chicago Bears (10-4) | NFC North
  3. Philadelphia Eagles (9-5) | NFC East
  4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-7) | NFC South

With three games still to play, six teams have already fallen out of the playoff race: the Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Falcons, Arizona Cardinals, New Orleans Saints, Washington Commanders and New York Giants.

In the NFC, the Los Angeles Rams have surged to the top at 11–3 and are the conference’s first team to clinch a playoff spot. This past weekend, the Chicago Bears returned to winning ways by beating the Cleveland Browns at Soldier Field, moving into second place overall while tightening their grip on the NFC North.

The Philadelphia Eagles remain steady atop the NFC East at 9–5 and still have every chance of sealing the division title. The Dallas Cowboys, by contrast, would need nothing short of a miracle to reach the postseason.

What do the Philadelphia Eagles need to advance to the 2025 playoffs and win the NFC East?

The Philadelphia Eagles will secure their spot in the postseason this week, with one of these possibilities:

  1. Philadelphia Eagles victory
  2. Defeat of Dallas Cowboys
  3. Philadelphia Eagles tie + Dallas Cowboys tie

Their next game comes in Week 16, when the Eagles visit the Washington Commanders (4–10) at Northwest Stadium on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET.
