The Dallas Cowboys can’t catch a break. They were struggling enough as it was, with a 3-5 record heading into Week 10, but last week saw their starting quarterback Dak Prescott go down with a potentially season-ending hamstring injury and their star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb power through the final quarter of the game with a shoulder injury.

That was on top of several injuries they were already dealing with, including to WR Brandin Cooks (knee), cornerback DaRon Bland (foot), edge rusher Micah Parsons (ankle), and defensive ends DeMarcus Lawrence (foot) and Marshawn Kneeland (knee).

Now, the Cowboys have added guard Zack Martin to the list.

What injury does Zack Martin have?

Zack Martin has been dealing with a shoulder injury since last week. He was limited in practice ahead of the Cowboys' Week 9 game against the Atlanta Falcons and was listed as questionable ahead of the game.

The nine-time Pro Bowler ended up playing every offensive snap in Dallas' 27-21 loss to the Falcons.

This week, Martin has sat out from practice for two days in a row now, on Wednesday and Thursday. According to ESPN’s Todd Archer, Martin did not work out with the team during the portion of practice that was open to media members.

Although Martin would typically be given Wednesdays off anyway as a veteran rest day, this week was different as there seems to be more going on, as Archer mentioned he’s dealing with “other things”, not just the shoulder injury.

Head coach Mike McCarthy said Martin has “a couple things he’s been dealing with” in regards to his performance this season, which has declined compared to recent years.

If Martin sits out this week against the Eagles, it will be second-year offensive lineman T.J. Bass who is expected to step up in his place. The game between the Cowboys and Eagles will kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET this Sunday from AT&T Stadium, and you can follow along with my live text coverage of the game right here on AS USA.
