What movie trailers will air during the 2023 Super Bowl?
There are no boring moments during the Super Bowl, and that includes the commercials. Here are the movie trailers set to premiere during the big game.
Of course, the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles playing Super Bowl LVII is a spectacle in itself. But Super Bowl Sunday isn’t just about the game. The whole event is a show, from the national anthem, to the advertisements and the halftime show. In fact, some people tune in just for the ads.
How to watch Super Bowl LVII on TV or online streaming
Each year, advertisers pay millions to have a 30-second TV spot during the Super Bowl. If you’re wondering why, just take a look at the numbers from last year. 112 million people tuned in to watch Super Bowl LVI in 2022 and advertising works.
Recently, studios have been releasing teaser trailers before the game and then showing longer spots on Super Bowl Sunday. The next day often brings in even more viewers as people try to catch up with what they missed. Last year, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was the most-watched spot on social media in the 24 hours after the Super Bowl ended with 93 million views. When the movie premiered, it brought in $187.4 million, the biggest opening at the box office in both the U.S. and Canada and was the third-highest of the year in calendar-year grosses at $411 million, behind Top Gun: Maverick and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
