Update:

On Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons played the Denver Broncos in Colorado and suffered a brutal loss, 38-6. Unfortunately, in the process, they also lost one of their top wide receivers.

Darnell Mooney’s injury

Atlanta was already behind 28-6 in the third quarter, when wide receiver Darnell Mooney was forced to leave the game with a hamstring injury.

Mooney was questionable to return and was replaced by KhaDarel Hodge. He did not return to play for the rest of the game. He finished the game with just two catches on four targets for 27 yards.

The severity of Mooney’s injury is not yet known, but the good news is that the Falcons are entering their bye week this week, so he has two weeks to recover before their Week 13 game against the Los Angeles Chargers at home.

Mooney is the team’s leader in receiving yards and and quarterback Kirk Cousins will definitely be hoping for his return as he looks to make his first touchdown pass in three games when they face the Chargers on Sunday, December 1.
