The Detroit Lions officially agreed to a lucrative four-year extension with wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown at the beginning of June. The deal, valued at over $120 million, includes a $77 million guarantee, marking an important milestone for the player and the franchise.

St. Brown, drafted by the Lions in the fourth round as the 112th overall pick, has rapidly ascended to one of the NFL’s top wide receivers. His outstanding performance on the field has earned him this substantial contract, solidifying his position as the highest-paid player at his position within the team.

Brad Holmes, an American football executive who is the executive vice president and general manager of the Detroit Lions, after signing his well-earned contract extension, said, “St Brown has earned this... we just felt like you know he’s an elite player, he’s truly earned it. He represents and embodies everything that we’re about.” The extension is seen as a reward for St. Brown’s hard work and a signal to the rest of the team that the Lions are committed to retaining and rewarding their key players.
