Which NFL team has the toughest schedule this season?
The Cleveland Browns will face the most challenging schedule of the 2024 NFL season, with six opponents finishing the 2023 season with a . 500 record.
There are just over two weeks left until the 2024 NFL season begins, and teams already know the rivals they will face during the campaign. With that in mind, the team with the most difficult schedule is, without any doubt, the Cleveland Browns.
Kevin Stefanski’s team will face opponents who had a .547 record in the 2023 season. The Browns’ toughest matchups will be their three division rivals: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, and Pittsburgh Steelers, who all finished with a positive record.
In the AFC, Cleveland’s opponents will be the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, Denver Broncos, and Las Vegas Raiders from the West. That will make it tough because they will face the reigning NFL champions and three other teams with dominant defenses.
After finishing second in the AFC North, they must face the second-place teams in the South and East: the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins are looking to stay at the top of their division over the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets, while the Jaguars will try to compete every week against the Houston Texans.
In addition, the Browns will face the NFC East, where the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles are the rivals to beat in that National division. Cleveland’s games against the Washington Commanders and the New York Giants could be winnable.
With the addition of a 17th regular-season game, the Browns could face either the second-place team in the NFC South or the second-place team in the West. So, probably Cleveland will play the New Orleans Saints.
The easiest NFL schedule in 2024
Ironically, the Browns’ final opponent will have the easiest schedule in the 2024 NFL season.
The weakest division in 2023 was the NFC South, and the New Orleans Saints finished as the least competitive opponent, as they had a winning percentage of .453.
Outside the division, the New Orleans Saints will face tough matchups against the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, and the Green Bay Packers.
