Which WNBA team has Tom Brady invested in?
Mark Davis, owner of the Raiders and Aces, announced that the legendary NFL star has acquired a part ownership of the WNBA franchise.
Tom Brady, the seven-time Super Bowl champion, departed from the National Football League after last season. However, his influence will continue to be felt in American sports as he has acquired a portion of ownership in the Las Vegas Aces, a WNBA team, as announced by Mark Davis, the owner of both the LA Raiders and the Aces.
Brady Aces partnership
“Since I purchased the Aces, our goal has been to win on and off the court,” a statement from Davis read. “Tom Brady is a win not only for the Aces, and the WNBA, but for women’s professional sports as a whole.”
Brady, for his part, said he is excited to be a part of the Aces organization and made it clear that women's sports have been an integral part of his life.
“I am very excited to be part of the Las Vegas Aces organization,” the NFL legend said via the official Aces website. “My love for women’s sports began at a young age when I would tag along to all my older sisters’ games -- They were by far the best athletes in our house! We celebrated their accomplishments together as a family, and they remain a great inspiration to me.
“I have always been a huge fan of women’s sports, and I admire the work that the Aces’ players, staff, and the WNBA continue to do to grow the sport and empower future generations of athletes. To be able to contribute in any way to that mission as a member of the Aces organization is an incredible honor.”
