Who are the new inductees to the Pro Football Hall of Fame? HOF class of 2026
Another batch of NFL icons were admitted to the illustrious list during the 2026 NFL Honors ceremony.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame is the benchmark for NFL greatness, a collection of the very best to have graced the league. Successful nominees have had to go through a series of votes to get to this point and the inductees were finally confirmed during the NFL Honors ceremony on Thursday.
The illustrious honor was bestowed on five new names this year. The Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2026 is Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgerald, Adam Vinatieri, Roger Craig and Luke Kuechly. With those additions, the HOF now includes 387 NFL greats.
Although these names have now been confirmed, they won’t technically be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame until August. Based in Canton, Ohio, players who make it into the HOF are described as being ‘in Canton’.
Bill Belichick misses out on Hall of Fame
In recent weeks the big news around the Hall of Fame has been Bill Belichick’s controversial omission. Earlier this week Tom Brady spoke out in his former coach’s defense. The Brady-Belichick dynasty with the New England Patriots is ranked among the greatest in all of U.S. sport. Spanning 2000 to 2019, the Patriots won an astonishing six Super Bowls with Belichick as coach and Brady at quarterback. No franchise has won more in its entire history.
“I don’t understand it,” said Brady. “I mean, I was with him every day. If he’s not a first-ballot Hall of Famer, there’s really no coach that should ever be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, which is completely ridiculous because people deserve it."
“He’s incredible. There’s no coach I’d rather play for. If I’m picking one coach to go out there to win a Super Bowl - give me one season - I’m taking Bill Belichick. So that’s enough said.”
