Who are the winningest head coaches in NFL history? Where does Bill Belichick rank?
The New England Patriots defeated the Cleveland Browns in Week 6, and Patriots head coach Bill Belichick made even more history with the win.

Bill Belichick is no stranger to making history in the NFL, and he did it again in the New England Patriots victory over the Cleveland Browns in their Week 6 matchup.
With the win, Belichick tied with George ‘Papa Bear’ Halas for second place on the all-time list of coaches with the most wins in the league. Now, he has the opportunity to sit alone in second when New England takes on the Chicago Bears at home on Monday night.
Belichick to be sole number two
It is likely that the 70-year-old will be the lone person to hold the number two slot very soon, as he only needs one win to achieve the milestone.
However, he would still need a lot more time to clinch the top spot, which belongs to Hall of Famer Don Shula, the winningest coach in NFL history.

Shula holds another notable record, that of coaching the first and only undefeated team in the league, when he led the Miami Dolphins to a 14-0 streak in the regular season in 1972, then continued the run to win Super Bowl VII against Washington.
Shula collected 347 wins through his career, while Belichick has 324. New England’s coach still has time to surpass the record.
