Who is Mahogany Jones, Deebo Samuel’s girlfriend?

Deebo Samuel was a rookie the last time the San Francisco 49ers reached the Super Bowl in the 2019 season, but even so, turned out to be a key part of his team’s offensive game plan as they went down to the Kansas City Chiefs in Miami. Four years later, the flying wide receiver is back for more against the same opponent as an established NFL star, which has inevitably brought his off-field life into the spotlight.

Introduced to football by father Galen, who gave son Tyshun Raequan Samuel the nickname “Deebo” after the neighborhood bully from the 1995 movie “Friday,” Samuel is now also cheered on by girlfriend Mahogany Jones, the mother of his only son (and not the rapper and community activist who goes by the same name).

When did Deebo Samuel and Mahogany Jones start dating?

Overall, the pair have kept their relationship relatively low-profile since getting together in 2019, the same year Samuel was first drafted by the 49ers. There have, however, been a few glimpses into their life as a couple, most notably when they appeared together in The Deebo Samuel Documentary, in which she spoke about her pregnancy and the NFL star said of his wish for their son to attend every game.

Two years after they began dating, they welcomed their son Tyshun to the world in 2021. Jones’ Instagram account showed a photo of them together at the 49ers game against the Arizona Cardinals in October last year.

However, the majority of her snaps relate to her love of fashion and modeling, which inspired her to start her own business several years ago.

Shades of Mahogany, a clothing brand selling a number of items from swimsuits to loungewear, had an active Instagram account between March and September 2021. However, there have been no updates since then, and the company website appears to have been taken down.

Jones has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
