The majority of owners are billionaires, with the top 15 having a net worth of at least $3 billion or above. But the richest of them all is Broncos owners, the Walton-Penner ownership group, whose total net worth stands at $59 billion. The reason behind being in the number one spot is that the Walton family is the owner of Walmart, along with other prominent executives, including Greg Penner, their CEO.

There is a big gap between the Broncos and who comes second, Jody Allen and the Paul G. Allen Trust of the Seattle Seahawks, and David Tepper, Carolina Panthers. The first is estimated to have a fortune of $20.3 billion, while Tepper is known to have amassed about $18.5 billion.

It’s worth pointing out that before his death in October 2018, Seattle Seahawks’ late former owner, Paul Allen, was by far the richest of his peers, with a net worth of over $20 billion.

These are the top 5 NFL richest owners?

The list of the richest owners in the NFL changes quite constantly as teams get bought and sold. In addition to the nature of the businesses that some of these owners are in, their worth fluctuates often. This is a very elite group of people. Owning a sports team is the ultimate status purchase, and that amplifies even more when it’s an NFL team.
