The Giants signal caller has got himself a unique agent to say the least. The question is who is he and what’s made him the talk of the town recently?

When it comes to the business side of professional sports, agents can agents can be the difference between a sizeable payday and favorable conoditions, and an athlete being taken advantage of by the franchise that he plays for. That’s precisely why we can consider the Giants quarterback’s agent a special individual

Tommy DeVito is having a good moment.

On Monday night, New York Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito put in an impressive shift as he went 17-for-21 with 158 yards and a key touchdown pass in the third quarter. It’s also worth noting that DeVito was not sacked on the night and managed to contribute 71 yards on the ground as well. Of course, while DeVito - an undrafted rookie - deserves credit having only been given an opportunity play due to an injury to starting quarterback, Daniel Jones, one has to spare a thought for the man who has put him where he is, Sean Stellato, his agent.

Introducing Sean Stellato

Before we get into the details, it’s worth noting that there are some glaring similarities between Stellato and his client who is currently under center for the Giants. For starters, neither really turned heads at collegiate level in the sports that they played - Stellato played both basketball and football. Then there is their Italian heritage which as you can imagine goes a long way in terms of their partnership. Yet, it’s got to be said that Stellato is a much more flamboyant individual. While DeVito has been making waves on the field, his agent has done so both in and out of the board room with his impeccable sense of fashion and seemingly striking personality.

A native of Salem, Massachusetts’s, Stellato was always destined to be a star with his well built frame and bleached blonde hair. Yet, despite his best efforts on the basketball court and the football field at Marist College, he did not find sporting success. After two seasons in the now-defunct Arena Football League, he would call time on his career as a player, however, where the game itself was concerned, he was only just getting started. Indeed, between his charisma and the contacts that he made in the industry, Stellato began to make moves which eventually led to the creation of his very own sports agency, SES Sports. Over the years he’s represented a number of footballers, but it would be safe to say he’s gone to the next level with DeVito who is enjoying a greater attention lately due to his performances. “Sean is always in my corner and will do whatever it takes to help me with my career on and off the field,” DeVito said recently “He is the Italian Stallion of sports agents.”
