If one word could be used to describe Tom Brady’s NFL career, it would be ‘longevity.’ The greatest quarterback in league history played 23 seasons as a professional, and he can attribute this to a strict diet named after him.

The ‘TB12 Diet’, defined by Brady and his alternative physician Alex Guerrero, is a plant-based diet that avoids eating rice, flour, red sauces, and sugars, staying away from red meat, dairy, caffeine, and alcoholic beverages to reduce inflammation, optimizes recovery and prevent injuries.

With that in mind, Chicago Bears rookie sensation Caleb Williams wants a long NFL career and will take inspiration from Tom Brady’s diet. In an interview with ESPN for NFL Countdown, the first player selected in the last Draft said he can control what he eats because that is a key to staying active on the field.

“What I’m trying to reach is play that long play as long as I can and then (you know) be healthy,” Williams said. “Working out and how you work out the things you work out... And then getting on the field and and and the mental part and the physical part takes over um but the things that I can control; control those things which are my diet, and that’s I think that’s a big key for you know to be able to play for such a long time.
