The Cleveland Browns are up next for a New Orleans Saints group who can’t seem to get Mother Luck on their side this season.

A tough start to life in NFL 2024 has been compounded by a huge injury worry to star Chris Olave, who suffered yet another concussion in the current campaign, this time against the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium.

Olave was hit and immediately stretchered off the field of play by medical staff, who rushed to attend the player. It was announced shortly after that he would be out for the rest of the game as he was taken to a nearby hospital.

The concussion marked another hit to the head for the player who has already been taken off this season due to a head collision. He will now see a specialist to determine the extent of the damage. Olave has had at least five recorded concussions since 2020, four in the NFL and two of them this season alone.

When will Olave return?

However, he hasn’t been ruled out for the season just yet. Olave was placed on injured reserve by his side, meaning he won’t be eligible to return to play until Week 15, when the Saints play the Washington Commanders.

The 11th pick of the 2022 Draft, Olave is a huge asset to the Saints and a massive loss every time he is unavailable: across 39 career games, he has 191 receptions for 2,565 yards and 10 touchdowns. He surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in each of his first two seasons in the NFL.
