Update:

New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr will not feature as they take on the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 17 of the 2024 NFL season.

The 33-year-old missed practice all week and won’t be able to face his old side. He will be replaced by Spencer Rattler who will start again. It is now the third consecutive game that Carr has missed since suffering the injury against the New York Giants.

What injury does Derek Carr have?

Carr is suffering from a hand injury that has him listed on the NFL’s official database as ‘out’.

Specifically, the diagnosis is a fractured left, non-throwing hand, but nevertheless Carr still wants to play again this season and reports suggest that his recovery in the Saints' injury room is going well.

What is Derek Carr’s record this season?

Ahead of Week 17’s action, Carr is averaging 214.5 passing yards per game (2,145 total). Other season stats include 15 touchdown passes, five interceptions and a 67.7% completion percentage (189-for-279), plus 17 carries for 71 yards one touchdown.
