Update:

Washington Commanders second-year quarterback Jayden Daniels will miss his third game on Monday, officially ruled out of the Week 8 clash with the Kansas City Chiefs because of a low-grade hamstring strain.

The 23-year-old first picked up the sprain in Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers and then missed the next two games.

How close is Daniels’ to returning?

Daniels got back on the field after missing out on Weeks 3 and 4, but last week’s injury in the game against the Dallas Cowboys has Head coach Dan Quinn playing conservative to make sure he gets Daniels back at 100 percent for the remainder of the season-

Sources say he should be back next week against the Seahawks. Although, some other analysts think it could be another week until the QB comes back to play for Washington. The Commanders have their bye in week 12, so they still have four games until they get that crucial week off to rest up and recover.

Who will start for Commanders at QB?

With Daniels sidelined, veteran Marcus Mariota will again lead the Commanders’ offense. The 30-year-old filled in during Week 3 and 4 and now faces a tough opponent: the Kansas City Chiefs.
