A large part of the Cowboys’ aspirations for the 2022 campaign rests on the shoulders of Dak Prescott. But days before the Dallas club is set to debut, bad news was reported regarding the quarterback.

According to Todd Archer of ESPN, Prescott had limited activity in Cowboys practice after experiencing discomfort in his right ankle as a result of the shoes he wore in training.

It should be noted that Prescott suffered a fracture in this ankle during week 5 of the 2020 campaign. Because of that injury, he missed the remaining 11 games of the season.

Dak says he is ready to go

In this regard, the Mississippi State graduate said that he only set aside the usual shoe model he wears, Jordan 11, for another model, Jordan 1, and assured that he has no problems with his ankle.

“I promise I’m great,” he said. “I’m just being very, very cautious. Changing shoes today may not have been the best idea. I’m ready to play. I promise”.

On the other hand, the 29-year-old quarterback noted that, compared to the start of the 2021 season, he is in the best possible physical condition.

“I feel great. I feel like I’m better than I’ve been in a long, long time,” he said. “It is not comparable to how I felt last year. I’m excited for Sunday.”
