Will DaRon Bland play in Cowboys Week 8 game vs 49ers? Jerry Jones provides update...
Between causing controversy and defending ridiculous offseason choices, Jerry Jones provided an update on injured CB DaRon Bland in his radio interview.
The Dallas Cowboys are coming off their bye week with a tough challenge ahead as they face the San Francisco 49ers on the road this Sunday. Their last game was a brutal home loss to the Detroit Lions that exposed their problems even further than they’d already been in their previous two losses.
Of their many issues that need fixing, there is one which is out of their control, and that‘s the slew of injuries on their defense. After a somewhat positive update on edge rusher Micah Parson’s status heading into Week 8, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones provided an update on cornerback DaRon Bland on Tuesday as well.
Will DaRon Bland make his return vs 49ers?
Cornerback DaRon Bland is just one of several injured defenders that Dallas has been dealing with since the start to this season. He was placed on Injured Reserve before the start of the season after suffering from a foot injury.
Jones made his weekly appearance on 105.3 The Fan’s morning show on Tuesday and provided an update on both Bland and Parsons after the bye week.
“You can’t tell today,” Jones said. “We’re not going to be able to tell their availability until game time”
Head coach Mike McCarthy said on Monday that Parsons is progressing, but both players will require careful monitoring throughout this week of practice. It looks like they will be game-time decisions, but it would help Dallas a great deal to have two of their All-Pro defenders back on the field against the Niners.
The Cowboys vs 49ers game will kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 27 from Levi’s Stadium. AS USA will be bringing you the live coverage of the game with our text updates and commentary (provided to you by yours truly) so you can check out all the action right here.
