Update:

The Baltimore Ravens are off to a rocky start in the NFL season, defying expectations with a disappointing 1-3 record. To make matters worse, star quarterback Lamar Jackson has been hit by an injury.

What injury does Jackson have?

Jackson exited the Ravens’ Week 4 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium after suffering a hamstring injury. The incident occurred in the third quarter following a sack, forcing backup QB Cooper Rush into action with just 56 seconds left on the clock and the Ravens trailing 30-13.

Before leaving the game, Jackson had completed 14 of 20 passes for 147 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He also added 48 rushing yards on six carries, showcasing his trademark dual-threat ability.

It has now been reported that Jackson is likely to be sidelined for Week 5 - at least. Per the Baltimore Sun’s Brian Wacker, the 28-year-old is facing an estimated recovery timeline of two to three weeks, depending on how his rehab progresses.

When is the Ravens’ next game?

In Week 5, Baltimore hosts the Houston Texans on Sunday, October 5, with kick-off at M&T Bank Stadium scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.
