Much to the chagrin of some football fans, the pop icon has become a fixture at Chiefs games ever since rumors started to swirl about her dating the team’s star tight end. Of course, the fact that the NFL has seen ratings and ticket sales rise as a result of her presence may have something to do with it. Then there is also the fact that the league recently started promoting the film of her ‘Eras Tour’, but we’re not here to judge.

So, is Taylor Swift going to be at Broncos vs Chiefs?

According to TMZ, that is in fact the case. Taylor Swift will once again be attending a Kansas City Chiefs game, and this time it will be the ‘Thursday Night Football’ clash with the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Interestingly, Travis Kelce’s status ahead of the game remains questionable as the tight end attempts to recover from an ankle injury. Nonetheless, it seems his biggest fan will be there anyway when the Chiefs take on Russell Wilson and Co.

Indeed, this will mark the third time that the “Shake It Off” singer has attended a Chiefs game in the last four weeks, and quite frankly she seems to be somewhat of a lucky charm. If you think about it, the team has gone undefeated ever since she first sat with Kelce’s mother last month when the Chiefs put down the Bears. Then, just a week later she was in the stadium once again when the team got the better of a spirited New York Jets, however, she was absent for last Sunday’s win over the Minnesota Vikings.

Taylor Swift’s attendance is about timing and context

As mentioned before, Kelce has been listed as questionable by the Chiefs ahead of Thursday’s game. That’s especially interesting when you consider the fact that Swift is reportedly coming anyway, and even more so when you factor in the idea that the Chiefs will have a few days off due to the fact that they won’t be playing a Sunday game. More time with each other perhaps? Regardless, we do know the NFL will be hoping she attends as her effect has been enormous, even if the league has taken some stick for increased focus on her. Ultimately, Swifties and football fans will be tuned in on Thursday night for what should be an interesting contest between two division rivals who are on opposite sides of the spectrum at the moment.
