Will Taylor Swift be at the Chiefs - Chargers game today, Sunday, September 29?

The pop icon became a staple at Chiefs games last season as she came to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce but she also has other plans.

They may be reigning Super Bowl champions. They may be chasing an unprecedented three-peat. But despite that, the Kansas City Chiefs go into their second game of the 2024 NFL season with some followers wanting to know just one thing: will Taylor Swift be attending?

Sunday’s game against the LA Chargers, like for last week’s win against the Falcons, takes place away from the Arrowhead Stadium, where the global superstar singer-songwriter skipped the journey. A night out in New York City with Gigi Hadid said to be the more-than-decent reason. So will she get back to cheering on Travis Kelce and his teammates this time around?

Taylor Swift available for Chiefs vs Chargers, Week 4

Swift became a staple at Chiefs games last year after she started dating tight end Kelce. Since then, their romance has made headlines almost weekly, as she attended 13 of his games, including Super Bowl LVIII, and he came to several of her concerts during her Eras Tour, even participating once.

The pop icon returned to the US recently as the European leg of her Eras Tour came to a close. When she turned up at the Chiefs’ opening two games, both at home, where she was joined by both of her parents, Kelce’s parents, Kelce’s brother Jason, and sister-in-law Kylie.

Ahead of the first game a source close to Swift said that “she wouldn’t miss it for anything in the world.

“After the long Euro part of the tour, where Travis was able to come show up and spend time with her when he could, she wants to show him that she supports him. She can’t wait for the start of the season and attend as many games as she can, starting this Thursday. “The goal is to go to as much games as possible this season when the schedule allows it,” the source said.

And as Taylor said herself last December, “Football is awesome, it turns out. I’ve been missing out my whole life.” So, it’s not just about supporting her boyfriend.

That makes it pretty clear, therefore, that unless something really important happens – which seems to include A-list nights out – she is likely to be at the Chiefs’ early games before the US leg of her Eras Tour kicks off on October 18 in Miami, Florida. Then again, maybe she’s decided that she’ll just be a homer this season, or that some of the ‘distraction talk’ means she should step back. The tour will run through December 8 with her last show in Vancouver, Canada.
