Will Tom Brady retire in 2023?
The ‘when’ of Tom Brady’s retirement has been one of the most-talked about questions in the NFL this year, especially after his un-retirement in March.
It’s been quite a year for Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady: retiring in February, un-retiring forty days later, going through a highly-publicized divorce from his wife of thirteen years Gisele Bündchen, and having a rocky start to the NFL 2022 season.
However, the Buccaneers and Brady have clawed their way back to playoff contention after a come-from-behind victory over the New Orleans Saints on Monday. The 45-year-old is starting to look more like the Brady of old, and is now looking to his future.

Brady: Open to all options
Brady is set to enter free agency after this season, and according to the NFL Network’s sources, all options are on the table for the quarterback. Now that he is feeling better after injuries earlier in the season, and the Bucs are back in the win column, he could be considering possible opportunities in the league next year.
The quarterback’s contract with the Buccaneers will end in March, and he could become an unrestricted free agent for the second time in his storied career.
Tampa Bay wants Brady back
The Bucs sounded hopeful last month that he would return to the team. Tampa Bay football consultant and former coach Bruce Arians had told JoeBucsFan.com that Brady loves the team and that if the QB decides to play next season, he would play for the Buccaneers.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion will probably have other suitors if he does go into the free agency market, especially because many teams are encountering quarterback issues, whether due to injury or performance. At 45, his level is still much higher than many other starting quarterbacks in the league.
If Brady does decide to retire, he will do so as a future Hall of Famer, and as the greatest quarterback in the history of the sport.
