The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in overtime at Super Bowl LVIII, with Travis Kelce sealing their victory with a kiss with Taylor Swift, who was watching on from her suite in Las Vegas. With the championship game now in the books, it means the 2023 NFL season is over and with that, the Chiefs tight end is a free man just as his pop star girlfriend’s Eras Tour gets set to resume in Australia. And the signs are it’ll be Kelce’s turn for some jet-setting to support his other half.

Kelce “will be joining Swift on her tour”

Much was made, of course, about whether or not Swift would be able to make it from the last or four dates in Tokyo, Japan to Las Vegas in time for the Super Bowl, which she managed fairly comfortably in the end. Her world tour resumes in Melbourne, Australia on Friday 16 February, with US Weekly previously reporting that “Travis will be joining Taylor on her tour and traveling with her after the Super Bowl.”

So, yes, it’s now been confirmed by TMZ that Kelce is in fact on a private jet and on his way to Australia. It’s understood that Kelce went from Los Angeles to Hawaii overnight - where he landed for a pit stop - and then continued on his journey in the early hours of Thursday morning. Indeed, he would be in the air at the time of writing. What that means is that Swifties can look forward to another installment in the love story that has captivated them since news of the pair’s relationship broke last September.

Was there ever a doubt that Travis Kelce would join Taylor Swift in Australia?

Yes, there was and sadly, it was due to tragedy. As you know by now, the Kansas City Chiefs victory parade was brought to a horrific halt after multiple gunshots were fired resulting in the death of a 43-year-old mother of two, as well as 22 people injured, many of whom were children. Naturally, the Chiefs as a team and organization were quick to respond to the community with players and coaches contributing to funds and even visiting victims in the hospital as we saw with Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany. Swift herself made a $100,000 donation to the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, the woman who was killed in the shooting. This is all to say that understandably, there were doubts as to whether Kelce would be there to see Swift. Now, we know that he will.
