The men's surfing final is on between France's Kauli Vaast and Australia's Jack Robinson!
Johanna Defay takes the bronze
France's Johanna Defay wins the bronze in women's surfing over Costa Rica's Brisa Hennessy with a score of 12.66 to Hennessy's 4.93!
Gabriel Medina wins the bronze
Brazil's Gabriel Medina clinched the bronze medal in men's surfing after going up against Alonso Correa of Peru.
This is Medina's first Olympic medal!
Surfing: Women's final set
Caroline Marks (USA) and Johanne Defay (France) had combined scores of 12.17 in the first women's semi-final heat, but it was Marks who won the tie-breaker with the best single wave score (7.0 to Defay's 6.5).
Marks will compete for gold against Tatiana Weston-Webb (Brazil), who had the highest single wave score of the day (8.33) as well as the highest toal heat score (13.66).
Surfing: men's final set
Australia's Jack Robinson will go up against Kauli Vaast of France in a while in the final of the men's Olympic surfing competition.
Who will take the gold?
France into soccer final
Spain vs France, even with it being the younger versions of the national teams, is a very tasty offering for the gold medal game.

The men's 3x3 basketball gold goes to the Netherlands who beat hosts France with a stunning last-gasp basket from Worthy De Jong.

Germany pip Spain to 3x3 gold
A 17-16 win hands the Germans gold in the women's 3x3 basketball, with Spain having to settle for the silver medal.
Team USA grabbed a bronze by beating neighbours Canada 16-13.
Duplantis does it! Pole vault world record
What excitement in the stadium as Mondo Duplantis fails twice at 6.25m before nailing it on his third and final attempt.
The place goes wild! It may be the ninth world record he's set, but his celebrations show how much that meant to him. Brilliant way to end the action here.
Gold not enough for Duplantis
With the top prize secured, the Swede is using his remaining attempts to go for records, and he's just broken the Olympic record of 6.03m by clearing 6.10m.

Pole vault gold to Duplantis
Swedish superstar Mondo Duplantis wins the pole vault gold.
Neither Emmanouil Karalis nor Sam Kendricks make it over 6.00m and so they take silver and bronze.
3x3 basketball finals at the ready
Spain will face off against Germany in the gold medal match in the women’s 3x3 women’s basketball tournament at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. That'll get going at 4pm ET.
In the men's competition, hosts France will go up against the Netherlands at Place de la Concorde at the Paris 2024 Olympics. It starts at 4:30pm ET.
Spain assured of at least a soccer silver
The senior team won Euro 2024 just a few weeks ago, and now the young guns are pushing for gold.
Soufiane Rahimi had put Morocco ahead in the semifinal but goals from Fermín López and Juanlu Sánchez put the Spanish through to the showpiece final.
They will face either France or Egypt as they look to build on the silver from Tokyo 2020.
Gold and WR for Team GB in women's team sprint
Take a bow, or another relaxed ride round the veladrome, Britain's Katy Marchant, Sophie Capewell and Emma Finucane. What a win and in 45.186 seconds!!

In the men's soccer tournament, one of Morocco or Spain will guarantee itself shortly.
The countries are currently contesting the first semi-final, with the Moroccans ahead as things stand. Soufiane Rahimi gave the North Africans a 1-0 lead by converting a first-half penalty in Marseille, where this about half an hour to go.
Later today, France and Egypt meet in the second semi-final, at the Stade de Lyon.
As well as the mystery box mentioned, medal-winning Olympic athletes are given a certificate known as the 'Olympic diploma'.
The certificate is available to lower-finishing Olympians, too.
By the way, you'll probably have noticed by now that medallists are being handed a small, rectangular box during their podium ceremonies.
Kayak cross gold for Butcher
In the canoe slalom events, New Zealand's Finn Butcher has taken gold in the men's kayak cross.
Great Britain's Joe Clarke won silver, with Germany's Noah Hegge in third.

Oka Shinnosuke gets the men's horizontal bar gold for Japan
After winning the bronze in the parallel bars just a few hours ago, Japan's Oka Shinnosuke has now won gold in the men's horizontal bar. This marks Oka's fourth Olympic medal in Paris 2024.
The silver goes to Angel Barajas, who has secured Colombia's first-ever Olympic medal in gymnastics.
Zhang Bohen of the People's Republic of China and Tang Chia-Hung shared the bronze. The other bronze medallist, Tang Chia-Hung, secured Chinese Taipei's first-ever medal.

Surprise Gold medal for Italy's Alice D'Amato in the Women's Balance Beam
The 21-year-old D'Amato represented Italy in 2020 and is part of the 2024 Olympic Games team. She just won the gold medal on the balance beam in Paris 2024. D'Amato was also a member of the team that won silver at the 2024 Olympic Games team event.
Chinese gymnast Zhou Yaqin won the silver medal, while another Italian, Manila Esposito, snatched the bronze at the last moment.
Italy's last gold medal in gymnastics was in the men's horizontal bar at Athens 2004.

Team China takes another Gold, through Zou Jingyuan in artistic gymnastics
Team China's Zou Jingyuan made history by becoming the first athlete since 1976 to achieve back-to-back gold medals in the men's parallel bars.
Representing the People's Republic of China, he delivered an outstanding performance, scoring an exceptional 16.200 in the apparatus final.

Korea's An Se Young wins gold in the badminton women's singles final
An Se Young has won her first Olympic medal - and it's gold one!
She secured the women's singles gold medal with a 21-13, 21-16 victory over China's He Bing Jiao. An's gold is the first medal of any color in this event for the Republic of Korea since 1996. He Bing Jiao's silver is also her first Olympic medal.

Shooting: Li Yuehong won his first Olympic title for the People's Republic of China in this event. Li finally gets the gold medal, after winning bronze at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020.
The silver goes to Cho Yeongjae in what is the Republic of Korea's first-ever Olympic medal in the event, while the bronze goes to the other Chinese on the podium Wang Xinjie.
Alex Yee becomes most decorated Olympic triathlete in history
GOLD Germany, SILVER United States, BRONZE Great Britain
Germany won the gold medal. Laura Lindemann made an incredible comeback, overturning a 12-second deficit and winning a thrilling sprint finish. After a brief delay in analyzing the photo finish between Potter (GBR) and Knibb (USA), Team USA was awarded the silver medal, while Great Britain took the bronze.
This is Germany's first triathlon medal since 2008, and the incredible Jan Frodeno's win in the men's event. The USA won a back-to-back silver medal after finishing second in Tokyo 2020.

A photo finish for second spot between Great Britain and the United States, and it seems as if the Brits have just pipped Team USA for a silver medal.
