The gymnastics sessions at the Olympic Games are often one of the most-watched events.
The sport is split into three separate disciplines: rhythmic, artistic and trampoline, all with different rules and regulations, as well as equipment.
Artistic gymnastics involve events such as the parallel bars and balance beam, whereas rhythmic gymnastics is made up of individual floor exercises and look a lot similar to a dance routine.
The gymnastics take place over a long period, and start on July 27 before finishing on August 10. The Bercy Arena will host the artistic gymnastics and the trampolining events, while the rhythmic action will take place at the Porte de la Chapelle Arena, along with the Badminton.
