2024 Olympics in Paris schedule today, August 11: events, sports, times, TV, stream and how to watch

The final day of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris is upon us. After more than two weeks of world-class action across a whole host of sports, our final set of medalists will rewarded on Sunday, August 11, which ends with the closing ceremony.

There’s a reduced schedule on the final day of the Games, with the majority of the action taking place early in the day in Paris (and in the relatively early hours of the morning across much of the United States).

The last Olympic hurrah gets going with the women’s marathon at 2am ET, while the final event on the calendar is the women’s basketball final between Team USA and host nation France at 9:30am ET. Could the race to finish top of the medal table come down to that game?

Do the 2024 Olympic Games have a closing ceremony? When is it?

As it the norm at the Olympics, there is indeed a closing ceremony. It is scheduled to begin at 3pm ET and is expected to last around two-and-a-half hours.

Frenchman Thomas Jolly, who directed the opening ceremony, has again been tasked with working his magic. The Olympics have said the Stade de France will be “transformed into a gigantic concert hall” and that over 100 performers, acrobats, dancers and circus artists “will take spectators on a journey through time, both past and future”.

Swimmer Katie Ledecky, the most decorated female American Olympian, and rower Nick Mead, will lead Team USA as flag bearers.

Viewers in the United States will be able to watch Paris 2024 on NBC Olympics, Telemundo, Universo and Peacock, as well as NBC sister channels including CNBC, E! and USA Network.
