With the Olympics well and truly underway, at ASUSA, we can’t decide what to watch. Fencing’s fun, tennis is always great, and who knew how exciting skateboarding was?
With so much sport on the box, it becomes even more confusing when, let’s be honest, Sweden are taking on Switzerland in the archery and we can’t work out the scores, especially when we’re squinting at the tiny country abbreviations. Is that Luxembourg or Liechtenstein?
With that in mind, here’s the much-needed guide to all the abbreviations for each country at the Olympic Games, organised by continent. You’re welcome.
Follow all the fantastic Olympic Games action on AS USA, where we’ve got you covered with everything from question & answer pieces, to post-sport reaction, live text feeds and our mega medal counter!
The Olympic Games began on July 24 and will run until August 11, when we’ll all have post-tournament depression. Just like the feeling you get when you come back from holiday and have to work.
