Team USA's mixed relay team set a new world record out on the track - the four athletes: Vernon Norwood, Shamier Little, Bryce Deadmon, and Kaylyn Brown crossed the line on 3:07.41, knocking a second off the previous fastest time, set in in Budapest last year.

In the mixed doubles tennis tournament, Canada have won bronze in the third-fourth-place match.

Gaby Dabrowski and Félix Auger-Aliassime claimed a spot on the podium by beating the Netherlands' Demi Schuurs and Wesley Koolhof in straight sets. The Canadian pairing won 6-3, 7-6.

Teddy Riner saw off a challenge from the world No.1 to win the men's +100kg judo final.

Riner sent the Champ-de-Mars Arena wild with delight after beating South Korea's Kim Mingjong.

Teddy becomes the first judoka with four Olympic gold medals - three individual: London, Rio and Paris, and one team: Tokyo.

He is now also the most decorated athlete in his sport with a total of six Olympic medals and could add to them tomorrow in the mixed team event.

Brazil get their first gold medal at Paris 2024. Beatriz Souza beat Israel's Raz Hershko in the women's over-78kg Judo final.

The 26-year-old, third in the 2019 Pan American Games, picks up her first Olympic medal.

Gold, always believe in your Seoul: Bullseye for Republic of Korea!

Lim Sihyeon and Kim Woojin kept their nerve to win the archery mixed team gold medal for South Korea, beating Germany's Michelle Kroppen and Florian Unruh 6-0.

Earlier, Team USA's Brady Ellison and Casey Kaufhold picked up the bronze after beating India's Ankita Bhakat and Dhiraj Bommadevara 2-6.

Zheng and Huang strike gold

China's Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong picked up the silver medal in Tokyo three years ago but struck gold in Paris, winning the mixed doubles badminton on Friday, beating Republic of Korea's Kim Wonho and Jeong Naeun 21-8, 21-11.

The bronze went to Japan's Watanabe Yuta and Higashino Arisa.

Swiatek makes father proud with first Olympic medal

There was some consolation for the world's No.1 Iga Swiatek, the big favorite to win gold in the women's singles tennis in Paris. She is going home with a medal, after beating Slovakia's Anna Karolina Schmiedlova 6-2 6-1 in this afternoon's bronze medal game.

It's Iga's first Olympic medal - a feat which her father always dreamed of but never achieved.

The equestrian of team of Ben Maher, Harry Charles, and Scott Brash boosted Team GB's gold medal tally to nine by winning this afternoon jump event. 

Team USA take silver and hosts France, bronze but Friday is turning out to be a bumper day for Great Britain.

Alcaraz guaranteed a medal

Carlos Alcaraz's summer just keeps getting better and better - after winning the French Open and Wimbledon, the Spaniard is through to his first Olympic final. He beat Canada's beating Félix Auger-Aliassime 6-1, 6-1 to book his place in the gold medal match.

The 21-year-old is also the youngest player to reach a men's Olympic tennis final, being a month younger than American Vincent Richards, who reached the final in Paris a century ago.

Bryony Page delivered a flawless routine which earned her a score of 56.480 and the gold medal in the women's trampoline event at Bercy Arena. The British gymnast finished ahead of Viyaleta Bardzilousakaya (AIN), who took silver and Canada's Sophiane Methot who comes away with bronze.
