What is Usain Bolt’s 100m record?
The Jamaican is well-known for holding the record as the fastest man in the world, having run the 100m sprint in a simply astonishing 9.58 seconds. He broke the record in Berlin at the 2009 world championships, and that time still stands today as the fastest ever.
What sprint records does Usain Bolt hold?
Bolt, after breaking the 100m record, ran a 19.19 in the 200m sprint: a new record in the sport. He also has a world best of 14.35 in the 150m running, with the final 100m of that race coming in at 8.70 seconds.
His 36.84 in the 4 x 100 relay is also a record, and he shares that alongside his teammates, Yohan Blake, Michael Frater and Nesta Carter.
Day 9 of the Olympic Games will see the world’s fastest men race at Stade de France in Paris. The semifinals will be on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET with the men’s 100m final at 3:50pm.
