As she enters this summer’s Olympic Games in Paris, the American star has already got seven Olympic gold medals to her name and is likely a sure bet to add to that figure. Indeed, the 27-year-old will be competing in what is her fourth Games and will be expected to lead the line for her nation in the pool.

What lies ahead for Katie Ledecky

Freestyle superstar Katie Ledecky has seven Olympic gold medals going into the Olympic Games in Paris and is expected to add to that impressive tally in what will be the 27-year-old’s fourth Games. Yet, it’s got to be said that she will have her hands full from the very start as Day 1 will see her going up against Canada’s teenage star, Summer McIntosh, as well as Australia’s reigning Olympic champion Ariarne Titmus in the 400 freestyle.

Following that, the United States swimming star will then move on to her favored events, the 800 and 1500 free, events in which she is the reigning Olympic champion and World Record holder. Again, Ledecky is highly favored to pick up more medals this summer even though it’s clear it won’t be easy.

Of course, it would be a true surprise if she were overawed by the competition given her wealth of experience at this level. This, after all, is an athlete who won her very first gold medal at the tender age of 15 during the 2012 London Games a little over a decade ago. As for Ledecky’s full schedule, you can take a look below:
